The North Mountain Chorus was established in September 2010 at the Burlington Community Club in Kings County. We are a lively rural community mixed choir that began from a vision to rekindle the wider social network of all lovers of song in the greater rural Burlington area. Situated 15 kilometers from Berwick and overlooking the Bay of Fundy, our members come from Black Rock, Canada Creek, Margaretsville, Woodville, Berwick and Wolfville/Kentville. The North Mountain Chorus began with a grant from the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage, through the Cultural Activities Program as a pilot project. Wendy LaPierre is our choral director .
The North Mountain Chorus is a non-auditioning choir and accepts members of all skill levels. It is not necessary to read music or have previous experience singing. Therefore, the selection of music sung by the choir is chosen to accommodate all levels of ability. This is an inclusive choir open to everybody.
Practices are currently held at the United Church in Berwick Nova Scvotia Thursday Evenings at 7 pm
